A mysterious figure, mentioned by the quicklings lurking in the Mountainroot Temple during Chapter 6: A Temple Between. He is also known by them as “the Stone-skinned King.”

In Chapter 10: Throne of the Stone-Skinned King, it is revealed that Cachlain is a formorian monarch who rules a domain of some significance in the Feywild. His court gives access to many portals, able to move large numbers of troops and supplies across the planes. He has allied himself with the githyanki, granting them access to this powerful resource that will easily allow them to sustain their wartime efforts in the World.

The Champions discovered that Cachlain was being mentally controlled by his advisor, Sovacles. After gathering enough evidence, they confronted the king, using magic and diplomacy to peel away the enchantment even as he tried to brutally pummel each of them.

Now Cachlain is allied with Inzira against the forces of Sangwyr. This means his forces are unable to provide aid against the githyanki, but at least he will no longer aid them with the use of his portals.
