Legion was found in the undercity of Sayre, the old ruins of Auger. He was nothing more than a pile of rune-enscribed rusted parts until Mr. Paradox came along and fixed him. He has lingered for ages in this dormant state, and he seems to know very little of his original existence, or the circumstances of his decommission.

All he knows is that his body was used as a prison for devils and evil spirits, and that he can draw upon their powers at will. This makes him similar to most warlocks, but if he has entered any kind of pact, he is unaware of it – and he seems able to draw upon the boons of different types of arcane patrons simultaneously. Most would accuse him of making especially heinous bargains for such exotic powers, but Legion remains skeptical of this. How could he sell his soul for personal gain if, being warforged, he had no soul to begin with?

It is often difficult to tell whether Legion suffers from a strangely severe version of warforged apathy (the lack of tact, emotion, or sympathy that follows from a lack of friends or a childhood), or if he truly is a soulless bastard who cares little for what others think. Still, he occasionally stops his radical behavior to observe with rapt fascination the anomalies of kindness or selflessness displayed by Komé or the like.
