Years ago, the white dragon known as Chillreaver terrorized the lands north of Winterbole Forest, occasionally clashing with barbarian tribes and fighting for control of the frozen territory against the frost giants native to the area.

Though his life has been long and his evil deeds many, his most notable action in the eyes of the Coalition was to destroy the town that Jett once called home. If Chillreaver had a reason for this act of wanton destruction, it is unknown to those that serve the light. But Jett holds a special grudge against the foes of his past, and he remembers well the swift blizzard that descended on the arena, carrying ice gargoyles in its cold wind.

Recently, the Coalition discovered that Chillreaver amassed a small force of followers inside Icehome, an iceberg just off the coast of Nefelus. To make matters worse, he had the island in a stranglehold, blocking its navy with a ring of ice floes, and threatening to choke the life out of the tropical climate with a supernatural winter. His dangerous power emanated from an artifact, a white acorn from the Feywild called the Seed of Winter.

Ea, Zan, and Komé challanged him at the conclusion of Chapter 9: Alliance at Nefelus. Without a defender, they were soundly defeated, and Ea was killed, her remains lost at sea.

Little is known of his current motives, but a document was found in his lair connecting him to Zetch’r’r, and also mentioning the Ironfell clan. How he managed to lay his claws on the Seed of Winter is still anyone’s guess, but the dragon let it slip that his second head was a gift from Tiamat, a reward for earning his place as her exarch.

Exarch though he was, he proved himself ultimately mortal when he was finally destroyed after taking one last innocent life: Lord Divian Torrance.
